Just curious guys why is there a toyota ad when you first get on the site??? To me this makes no sense whatsoever! How about a huge Jaguar ad on a Jaguar website???? That probably wouldn't make much sense would it??? I understand the site needs money...but for real???

Google! Patrick pays "ads by google" to advertise for the site, and in turn google will select what to advertise depending on key words in the text of the threads!

Never saw it, and hope I never see it, but according to quil, it was there!

 

I ain't lyin' I saw it with my own two eyes it was at the main part of the forum...jaguarforums.com and at the very top I had to adjust my eyes a few times to get a grip with it! Especially because the jaguar advertisement on here is like tiny and the toyota ad took up about the space of this whole box!

 

Maybe its a ploy by Toyota Aquill. Their using subliminal messaging...lol

The reason that ad popped up is because of spyware on your computer. Cookies are embedded into your computer every time you do a search. They are called meta-tags and when you conduct a search for say a toyota or search cars etc automotive ads will display as pop ups on your computer or other advertisements. i dont have pop ups on my pc since i block them all but this could be the reason that you saw a Toyota ad on your screen.

 

I run spybot and agv every day for the most part...the ad was from ads by google which I'm pretty sure you have to get them from jagforums...they change from stuff about jags and sometimes others as well not just toyota like the normal one about intakes and jaguars for sale...
