So my 2003 Jaguar x-type is leaking coolant. I replaced the expansion tank already after noticing the broken nipples and I also installed a new water pump because I know that's a common problem. I plan on replacing the thermostat as well while I'm taking things apart.
While I was looking underneath the car, I noticed a lot of coolant on the a/c pump and I have no idea how it would have gotten there.
Does anybody know what could have caused coolant to leak in that area?

 

What color is it? If it is green, then it is oil from your AC pump.

Does anybody know what could be causing the leak? I'm sure there are numerous possibilities but are there any common problems with these cars? Also, are there any fixes that wouldn't require replacing the compressor? Thanks
