Default X-Type 2010, Cooling Fan Relay Module

Hi Jaguar Enthusiasts,

I am trying to find a replacement part 940.0040.03

The issue is I cannot find anything relating to my vehicle year. Everything seems to stop at 2009.

I purchased a replacement unit $100USD from China with the exact part number as above but the fans just switch off and on continuously regardless of temperature. My mechanic says the computer still says it has a module fault.

I would buy locally here is Australia but I am getting prices $330 USD - $550USD which seems pretty steep for this unit.

Does anyone know why my year model (2010) is not coming up on parts lists?
And where can I get a reliable part from that ships to Australia?

Perhaps because they stopped production in 2009? No 2010 were made.

Thanks for responding Dell.
I think I may have thought I have a 2010 model but I guess that was when it was initially licensed in 2010.

Strange though because it is a 2.1 litre and that goes to say it is manufactured in 2008 at the latest by your screen shot of Wiki.

Anyway my real issue here is to fix the Fan Module error.

The one I purchased on Ali Express keeps switching the fans off and on at full speed at 20 - 30 second intervals and cant clear the error on the analyser. So either its not compatible or a manufacturing fault. Even though the seller listed the part number was identical.

Do you have any suggestions where I can get this at a reasonable price?

regards Brett

So I went through this in another thread with a member. He went through (memory here) 3 and perhaps 4 of the asian units. They all had issues. He finally bit the bullet and bought the Rock Auto one (in the above attached thread) & it worked as it should as soon as he installed it.

Btw, your month/year of manufacture, paint code, interior color are inside the (LHD) driver's door. It looks like this =
