Default X-Type a/c compressor

So the dealer just quoted me 1800 for a new a/c compressor after I took it in due to a clicking/rotary grinding sound. I initially thought it was an idler pulley or serpentine belt. I went and picked up the car, drove it home and jacked it up, removed passenger wheel and wheel well shroud. IT provides perfect access to the a/c pulley and clutch assembly. The problem is that the clutch plate on the a/c compressor pulley is loose and movable by hand, I can tell by the sound of it moving that this is for sure the source of the noise. I have found several other posts discussing this and it sounds as if it is not all that uncommon. My question is this, is just the pulley mechanisim rebuildable or replaceable with junk yard compressor parts? In other words can I get away with only replacing the failed clutch plate assembly and not have to replace the compressor unit that has no other problems? There are three round pegs on the clutch plate that sit in the outer pulley assembly. One peg is sitting nicely, secured by a hard rubber bushing. The other two are not secured anymore and the bushings are gone, the pegs and wobble freely in the outer seat.

Any help greatly appreciated!!!
