Default X-Type Sportwagon FS in Las Vegas

I'm not sure if it's poor form to post this here, though nice Sportwagons/Estates seem to be getting harder to find here is the U.S.. I found this on FB and appears to be a very nice example of one.

If I didn't already have 2 X-Types I would probably buy it.

Wagons are hard to find because they only imported 1605 of them to North America.

Didn't realize that the import number was that low? That said, having two of them killed by floods is kind of disappointing. Found these two poking around the major insurance auctions.

Only 66k miles and was serviced just before it went for a swim. Now carries a LA Certificate of Destruction so it never can be registered again. Super clean otherwise.

Higher miles at 150k but looks pretty clean externally. No indication of a water line so who knows if it's worth saving. Does have a GA salvage title though...

Depends on how much you can get it for. It's pretty much the same as the sedan, as far as parts are concerned, so you could end up with something special.

Makes me happy that I presently own 3 wagons (all 05/06s). 2 black, and one gold. About 3 years ago, there was always 5 to 10 wagons for sale online, and prices were often less than regular X-types. Didn't seem like many people wanted a wagon, so they sat for sale for months.
Last year during Covid, fewer and fewer of them were going up for sale and many sold faster, so they have been raising the asking prices. I wanted to purchase a couple more last year, but my wife put a stop to me purchasing more Jaguars, even if they run.

All of mine have been very reliable, but all of them have similar nuisance problems. A/C on all three stopped cooling this past winter. 2 of them have the same ABS/DSC problems and the third has a DSC problem where I installed all the DSC upgrade components, but the ECM needs the capability turned on in the ECM. All of them have slow driver seat motors so the seats move forward and back very slowly,
One of them, with the highest mileage, 103K has some sloppy suspension problems where I am sure some of the suspension bushes are tired and worn. (Tires are starting to wear unevenly.)

Besides that, they make great beater and winter cars.

I just have one, and it's waiting for me to get around to taking the transfer out of Kitty Litter to swap. I think that the wagon is a better fit for most of what I need to do.

I have 2006 Estate with about 111,000 miles on it. I have an evap code showing but haven' gotten around to sorting it out. Runs great except for transmission which does some odd hunting around and downshifting. From what I've read, these JATCO boxes are problematic but, unfortunatly, they didn't import any wagons with the five-speed manual. Great car overall.
