I've just bought a 2001 X type coming back to the model after few years absence.

The Jatco box isnt so smooth and despite an oil change is still not what I'd call linear in its use. The jerk has gone since the oil change but its still a bit like an old auto rather than the newer constantly variable types.

Does anyone know if the box was improved in later models say a 2004 Estate for example as I'd look at that if necessary?

My my04 has good days and bad days, sometimes its smooth others not so.

Oil changed by Jaguar but made no difference
