Default Yet Another Issue- Brake Lights Stuck ON!

Well, my brake lights are stuck ON! I'm starting to think this has something to do with the DSC System Fault light being stuck on. Any ideas, again!

Sorry for all the posts about my problems, but this car has had quite a few electrical gremilins as of lately. For 12k, you get what you pay for

After using my common automotive sense, something tells me it's the brake switch. Can anyone confirm this?

imagine if you took it to the dealer, $150 for the diognostic check, and then another couple hundred in labor to put the switch back on. good call Cap

holy ****, now I know what my cruise not available is coming on intermittenly for the past week. I didn't put two and two together-- I saw my brake lights were on this morning when I left the car running; couple this with trying to figure out why my cruise was acting up, it now makes sense. And I remember feeling something loose when I slammed on my brakes last week. Does this just secure back onto the bracket under the brake pedal, or do I have to get a whole new part? thanks!

Well that was the problem. if anyone is wondering how it goes back, you have to angle it so it notches in the oblong hole and then give it a half turn counterclockwise to lock it in place. awesome.

Hey all, I've got the same deal here. Cruise not working and brake lights stuck on. But I've got some other strange issues too - My traction control shuts off and I can't get the car out of park. Any ideas, or should this brake switch solve it?

Ok, popped the switch in and all is well. Hope it solved the traction control.
