How do you turn off the “Service Due Soon” notice on the dashboard?

(my car is at the dealership now, but on previous visits they have neglected to turn off the notice, thus requiring a second visit just to get the notice turned off.)

I had similar issue with my Land Rover - googled and found a sequence of steps which need to be followed. If I remember on the Land Rover it was to keep the hood open, the driver's door open, power the car without starting it, etc, etc. It seemed like a crazy process but I was shocked when it worked!

 

This time the dealer remembered to remove the notification.
