Question 2018 35t's?

What is going on with the 2018s?

Jaguar USA says the available XE models are 20d, 25t, 30t, and S. All of the dealers in the Philly area are advertising 35t's, although most are using stock photos or "image coming soon".

I have found several dealers with trunk photos with the 35t badging on 2018's. This includes "Portfolio" and "Premium" models all claiming to have the supercharged V6. There are a lot of dealers advertising "Prestige" models with the supercharged V6 as 35t's, but only stock photos.

I though the V6 was only going to be in the "S" for 2018?

I thought the same as well, but plugging in the VIN numbers on carfax reveals cars are indeed 2018. Here's a 2018 35T R-Sport. New 2018 Jaguar XE For Sale | Des Moines IA

Carfax confirms 2018.

Anybody know what is going on? I know one big reason I bought the 2017 Prestige 35T AWD was I did not want to have to go to the turbo 4 that is designated for the 2018 30t. I am a little upset that I appear to have been mislead and would have more seriously considered the 2018 if I knew the supercharged V6 was going to be available.

2018 ----> 2018.5

35t + 20D -----> "S" 30T - 25T- 20D (CDN Market at least)

Canadian dealers like U.S. dealers show 2018 35T cars on the lots as well, yet neither the US or Canadian Jaguar websites mention a 2018 35T as a model to build.

Because you can't order a 2018. Only a 2018.5.

Jaguar only promotes the print .pdf and order mentality, salesmen/women are the ones who promote the in-stock mentality.

Same reason why on LR.com, the new updated Sport and Full Size are up, while inventory is 2017 models

Ahhhh ok. I started my search here in the U.S. in late July and at that time it was 2017s listed on the website. Then it changed to showing 2018 by early August and the 35T option was removed. There was never a way to build/price a 2018 35T from the website so like OP I have no idea that there even was such a thing as a 2018 35T. Is there such a car as a 2018 XE S, or are all those 2018.5?

Still think this is deceptive on Jaguar's part.

How can there be a lot of 35t's (Image not available) on the way to dealers, but the car is not shown as to be in existence on the website? Seems like a way to move the 2017s off the lot "before they are gone".

For some months in the 2nd half of 2017, I was all doing my "build my own f pace" on jaguar usa website

then with all the research done in hand, and having watched numerous reviews on you tube

in early december I showed up in the showroom, saying that I wanted this that and this specifically this in that color with this option etc HAHA

i was directed to a car on the lot, it displayed 2018 35t Portfolio LE. I end up buying it, and is a V6!
I wanted to get a V6 SUV anyway, but I was willing to get the inline 4 cyclinder turbo prestige version.

but my question here is, how come this car I bought is not found in the website as I checked today?

there is no a "35t portfolio LE" in the jaguarusa.com

but I did get a 2018 brochure, and it has a 35t portfolio LE, which says that it only comes in yulong white and windsor sienna tan seats, that is exactly what I have in my garage.

The 35t engine was only available for the first half of the model year (2018)

30t is only available for the second half of the model year (2018.5)

Hope this helps.

entirely possible. Like I said. 35T is available for 2018, 35T is not available (replaced by 30T) for 2018.5

yes there are plenty of 2018 35T that were/are for sale (Premium and Prestige non LE) You just had no way to spec one out on the Jaguar website as a 2018 as the 35T was never shown to be available in 2018 despite what seems to be plenty for sale at dealers.
