About low-pitched sound with a vibration
I own a 2016 XE 2.0D R-Sport trim model and I have several questions about this model.
When I drive at a speed of 50-60 mph, I can hear a low-pitched sound with a vibration from the back of the car for a couple of seconds. This only happens at a specific speed (specific RPM), and the sound and the vibration disappear when I accelerate or decelerate the speed.
The above matter is quite irritating. Although I have already done engine mount and high-wheel balancing, the problem continues until now.
In the case of BMW or XF models, it seems like the problem can be solved by replacing the flexible joint(bushing) of the propeller shaft. However, XE model’s propeller shaft only comes out as an assembly and I do not even know whether there is a flexible joint (and do not know the specification or an item number) in this model.
It would be a great help if I could hear the opinions from the users and experts who have experienced the same problem.
Your prompt response would be appreciated.
Thank you.
