AEB Failures
About 25% of the time we start the car and get moving, an AEB failure notice is displayed. Since it is not 100% I am not sure whether to go the dealer or not. I would lean towards going to the dealer, but their care and expertise on Jaguars has diminished my confidence with each time I have had to bring the car there. Not only that, the car may sit at the dealership for weeks on end.
Anyone else have this failure displayed? I sure wish the dealership was more competent and professional. The service writers are ok, but everyone else screws it up to does the sloppiest of work.

I've read AEB uses forward facing cameras. Like any optics they can be hampered by mist or other interference with the lens.
I'm pretty sure they employ a microprocessor in your ECU that looks at the video input data to evaluate the danger for emergency braking based on what the lens "Sees", and just like a smartphone trying to focus on macro focus it can get a little "confused" and throw the warning when it comes up sum error. When you restart the car, it would reset the processor, and your error should go away.
If there is a software update, I'd get it. They may have improved the algorithm for the video input since you first picked up your car.
This is my street educated guess. I could be completely off. I do not have this feature as I am a cheap baxta7d...
I'd start by ensuring your optics are clean ....
