Default Anyone have issues with SIM card?

So a couple of weeks ago my ICTP system told me it could not read the sim card anymore. I ejected it and put it in again, but nothing happened. I also checked the ATT account and I still have lots of data left on it and my trial has quite some time from expiring.

Anyone else have this issue? Maybe it is a simple fix... going to ATT or the dealer?

I had this issue, I can tell you AT&T can't help you. I had to go to the dealer, they had to reset the account for it to work again.

The sim card is supplied with the car and registered to it when new and has a activation code that the sim card comes in. Go back to the dealer.

You do not need to use ATT. I use a FreedomPop card, which actually works much better than the OEM ATT card.

With any service other than ATT, you lose the benefit of the free trial.

Thanks! I will take it in to the dealer.

Will do. They did activate it and it was working until recently.

While the card can get corrupted, the reader can fail as well. My sim card in my dash cam just suddenly decided to fail. Luckily i noticed the message instead of needing video and not having it recorded. That card was just a swap from 34gb to 64gb. But theyre registered in the jaguar

Default SIM card is terrible...

I got it fixed and it had connection for two days... now it doesn't get 3G.

I haven't even bothered to play with it, but I'll try to move the sim card in and out.

I definitely won't be paying for the service when the trial is over :P

I have a 2017 XFS and I have an odd issue. My free trial att was working fine, then today I removed the sim card and installed the FreedomPop sim and it just sits there saying its trying to read the sim. Never activates or never gets enable, then when I put the old sim that was working it too now says the same message reading sim then nothing ever happens and data stays off....

This sounds dumb, but did you try turning the engine off, and then restarting it and again using the connectivity settings menu to read the sim card?

That worked for me the one time my XE could not read the sim card.

I can't stand the whole sim card thing. It adds like zero value and a waste of Jaguar's engineering and manufacturing effort. Can't stand seeing the prompt to login; I don't want to login and I don't want a sim in the car. That prompt really sours the whole nav screen experience.

Yes, I have turned the car off and waited for 30 minutes several times. I will try again today...weird.

Default T-Mobile and no more 3g

I replaced my card after the AT&T trial with the T-Mobile card. For almost 6 months I had 3G service. Suddenly I had no service and then after replacing the card and going back-and-forth I now only get edge a.k.a. 2g. Is everyone else getting 3G either with AT&T or anyone else?

Using a FreedomPop card, I get either 3G or Edge depending on the area in which I’m driving.

I figured out that I had a bad SIM card reader and asked them to test and replace. So after 14 days of the car being at the dealership they returned it to me and said call AT&T to further trouble shoot. GRRRRR! I get home, cut a postcard the same width as the sim card but longer so I have a handle then insert it with the sim and BOOM 3G. I just got back from the Jag dealer, I just trained them. Now the part is on order, they never even tested my card with a new SIM reader. SMH

I have the same issue with my 3 month old XE, the AT&T SIM card was working fine, now the SIM reader is stuck in Reading ... status, I tried to eject and re-insert the card, it made no difference. I cannot turn on WiFi either from the connectivity menu; not sure if it's a hardware of firmware issue.

My 3g sim card stopped working. I ordered a new 4g card (the provider stopped selling 3g cards, and no longer provided 3g service), and it did not work.

I wonder whether anyone’s 3g card stilll works, and whether the XE is capable of 4g connections.

New ones are, but I don’t know if that’s a new feature or not.
