So I have the 19" staggered rims on mine. My tire guy wasn't paying attention and put one of my rears (255/35-19) in the front. I ran a a couple of weeks that way. No rubbing nothing noticeable at all. Now the offset, is different. +45 for the front rims and +55 for the rear that could have been a factor in not rubbing.
The question is what width rims do you have? I assume the propellers are like mine also 7.5 for the front and 8.5 in the back. If so i think you are already at, or close to, the max for those rim widths. There are some online calculators to help, but they all don't agree.
Interesting. I have propellers on my F-type, but they’re 19”. I did not think they were a different size on the XE. Here are the propellers I’m familiar with…
Edit: I’ll be darned, the 2017 XE offered 20” propellers that are completely different than the F-type 19” propellers. Go figure. Sorry for the confusion.
Should have plenty of clearance at stock height, lowered would be more of an issue than the extra 10mm of tire width. Also matters what tires, as some '285' can be narrower than another companies '275'. Measuring is not regulated like that, it's self reporting.
