Default In Control Apps for Android

Does anyone know if its possible to use in control apps with an android phone? My phone connects great for music, texts and voice but I can't connect the apps even though I have them on my phone.

Which in control apps do you mean? I have the Remote and Jaguar Apps icons installed on my Galaxy S6. I have only used the Remote and it works great, the dealer walked me through setting it up and I have opened the apps, just found no use for any of them for now but I am sure they work.

I have the galaxy S4 and have the in control app installed on it with the Sygic navigation and the audio book apps. I put them on to test them and when I try to connect the car display says connecting to iphone. Does yours display that? I also have the remote start app which works fine as does all the bluetooth functions but when I connect with the USB for the apps it will not connect.

I never connected anything with USB or tried any apps tbh. I opened the Jaguar Apps app and just looked what's in there, never even tried one.

I just found this on topix: Not all smartphones are compatible. The Jaguar InControl Apps app is compatible with iPhone 5 running iOS7 and above, and Android phones running v4.0 and above. So my phone is compatible just not connecting for some reason.

This explains why my iPhone 7 is so flaky even with the latest update to the ICTP. iPhone 5 is so old and not sure why they haven't gotten it updated to at least the 6 series.
