Default Coolant for XE

Good evening all

Can anyone tell me the right spec for the coolant for my XE. Jaguar has its usual obscure spec.
Which I suspect is really a Ford spec. but not sure. Can anyone confirm this or suggest another easily obtainable brand

Thanks in advance
Keith

I bought a quart from Jag to keep in the trunk just in case. Here is a picture of the label...

The original coolant specification was:
50% mixture of water and antifreeze specification WSS M97B44 (coloured orange) Extended Life Coolant.

This has been superseded for all vehicles by:
Mixture of 50% water and 50% antifreeze meeting Jaguar Land Rover specification STJLR.651.5003.

Specification is not to be confused with brand. Several brands meet or exceed both specifications.

Thanks for the replies.
The spec given by GGG is indeed a Ford spec and is the right orange coolant for my 2018 35t
I found that several brands claimed to be suitable, but they all seem to say only if the system is completely drained and refilled.

As Oldguy 1, I just wanted a litre for the occasional top-up.

Thanks again

For what it's worth, I have been using Valvoline Zerex DEX-COOL Organic Acid Technology Concentrate (Orange color) in my 2017 XE 3.5T due to a couple of leaks out of warranty . It meets the ASTM D3306 rating (as mentioned on the Jaguar product container) and also says that it is recommended for use in Jaguar vehicles however does not explicitly state that it meets STJLR.651.5003. I suspect this is more due to marketing/formal certification rather than the technical formulation of the coolant. I did not have time to completely flush the system before I added this stuff. It looks identical to the Jag formulation and did not cause any adverse effects, discoloration or any precipitation formation and I've had it in the engine for about a year between leaks!

Amazon Amazon

Currently $20 on Amazon for a gallon of concentrate versus the $80+ for the Jag labelled stuff.

Thanks for the added information. Certainly like the price - my local JLR dealer wanted $38 for a litre.
Which is why I was seeking an alternative source!!
