Default ICTP Update to a latest (Phase 4) using SDD. (IMC Variant Config Failure)

Hi,

I have a Jaguar with the 8" display and the NLI system. I decided to upgrade to the 10" NGI system and have gathered all the necessary parts and completed the wiring. However, I'm currently stuck trying to get everything to work properly.

I was able to find an IMC module, but it came with outdated firmware (probably Phase 3, featuring the 4-tile interface). So, I figured I needed to upgrade it to Phase 4. The update seemed to go well, as I can now interact with the display and media (click, swipe, etc.).

The issue is that the new setup is still configured for the 8" display, causing the image to appear slightly distorted. There's an option called "InControl Touch Pro Variant Configuration," which I believe should update the IMC to recognize the new 10" display configuration. Unfortunately, this process consistently fails, and the logs show a specific
Code:
gracenotes
error.

By searching for the
Code:
gracenotes
error, I found a few technical bulletins that highlight issues during the update process. However, the advice seems to be to submit a report to the JLR team, with no further details provided.

The message displayed is:
"The software has updated successfully, but a concern with Gracenotes has been detected."

Could someone assist with this? Is there any way to complete the Phase 4 update, or is the module no longer usable (toast)?

Generic error i get from SDD during variant configuration

Thank you!

You might try posting this in the F-type forum - same hardware, and a lot more traffic there. I don’t recall if anyone did this upgrade successfully.
