Default Imbiciles with a Sense of Humor

I'd like to know who the moron was that designed the windshield wipers?

I've never seen a car that you couldn't lift the wipers high enough to scrape or clean under them.

The manual states that you need to position them in "service" mode to lift them far enough away from the windshield. Not that easy to do when they're frozen in position under a blanket of snow.

The service mode is a comedy, too.

Hello, I am new to this forum. I noticed your question and remembered-- that's another issue we've had with our 1 week old 2017 XE. The wipers seem to belong on a 1995 Ford Escort. Did they stiff you on the quality of wipers too? I assume I can just replace them with Rainx wipers or something. Can I? This XE is beginning to get to me. Hopefully you have some input. Thanks!

I've no issues with the actual working of the wipers. They have a weird attachment system.

Wiper Blades USA has them. Not expensive, either.

My issue is winter when they're frozen to the windshield. Not an issue for you in FL,(I hope).

Funny. I didn't catch the 'scrape the windshield' comment! We haven't done that since moving away from Chicago
Thanks for the info. I'm going to change the blades today and check out the low variance between the wipers and windshield.
