I am having a Jaguar XE 2016 2.0 diesel
ingenium and i found a small oil leaking
when i lifted my car in a service. It was
located directly under the center of the
engine.Do you guys know any common oil
leaking issues?

 

What you have to do is track it back to the source. This can be difficult if the oil has blown everywhere but it is possible, but a bit time-consuming. So far my own XE diesel engine doesnt seem to have any leaks, (touch wood!!)

 

Yea thats what i wanted to do, wash and clean the engine, drive it for 1-2 km and then lift it again to see the source.Hopefully its not something bad.

 

The two most common spots are the blanking plug on L/R area of engine and the front cover to the engine. Both will leak onto the underpanel and spread oil everywhere.
