Default Sunroof

Hello, I just purchased a 2017 XE and took the vehicle in for service. While in there I had them look at the sunroof because the one touch opening was not working and it would not open all the way. After picking it up the one touch works, but it only opens halfway (less than when I brought it in). The dealership is saying that it is fixed, but a sunroof that only goes back halfway seems like very poor design. This car is new to me, so any information from other owners on how far back it should go would be appreciated. I’ve looked on YouTube but can’t get a good idea from the videos.

OK, I just checked and mine opens only 9.5 inches. It seems like that's about it because it gets close to the satellite antenna on the roof.
I never use mine because it's noisy, it lets dust in, it lets direct sunlight in, and it looks stupid sitting above the roof.
Hope this helps.

Yes, the sunroof doesn't fully open. I guess mine slides back for maybe 60-70% of the glazed area.
