Upcoming Extended Test Drive 1/4 to 1/11
Yes. Drove it for work yesterday and enjoyed it. Went to get some burritos this morning and learned a bit more about handling (took a 90 right at 30 and no push at all). Going to take a LONG drive tomorrow out in the country to see about it's true sporting capabilities.
Liking it so far. I just have to remind myself this car would be $30K less than my XFR and to judge is at such (using my G35 as the reference for most things).

lol
Any other points to share?
How did you find the forum prize procedure and follow up by Jaguar regarding details and delivery of the car?
I assume all was well?
Thanks so much for your comments

Was in the XE for 6 hours today in wildly varied environments, which was really fun. Now that I've had a chance to get a feel for the XE, I feel compelled to drive the 335, A4, ATS, and C300 for a true comparison. Not sure that I have time to drive them all, but will drive the BMW and Mercedes tomorrow after I drop off the XE. I've driven an RCF and IS200 recently, which neither is a direct competitor, but I have a feel for Lexus already.
Come on Jim...you're killing me. I need some time to write something really good and thorough for the opportunity the forum and Jaguar game me. I've driven it in everything from bumper to bumper traffic to sweepers at 85 mph and up to 125 in a straight today. And was still learning more when I got home. I have one more portion of a day to take some photos, look at more of the features and make sure I cover the questions earlier in this thread.
The communication from Jaguar's marketing company was great. There was a bit of a snafu caused by my ever changing work schedule, so I ended up picking the car up from the logistics company. Glad I did. They do the press fleet for Jag, BMW (cars and bikes), Rolls Royce, Lexus and a couple other brands. They have 3 warehouses full of cars. Interesting to know there are operations like that.

Just one more teaser post Jim...
Dropped the car off today to the warehouse today and as I looked in I saw something BRG with a big white dot on the door. Yep, Project 7. Car is even cooler in person than in photos. The proportions are better.
On the way home I test drove a Mercedes C450 and a BMW 340 to get a real comparison. Will have the full review done in the next few days.
