Methinks it could be....stolden engines?
It is certainly possible this theft of engines from the plant could have had something to do with it.....
Jaguar Land Rover heist: Police recover stolen engines in dawn raids in Sutton Coldfield - Birmingham Mail

"Engines believed to have been stolen from Jaguar Land Rover in a £3million heist have been found. West Midlands Police carried out two raids, one at Bermuda Industrial Park in Nuneaton and another in Minworth near Sutton Coldfield, this morning.
An investigation was launched after a gang struck shortly after 10.30pm on Tuesday, January 31, by brazenly driving through manned security gates in a stolen lorry.
The truck entered the Solihull site twice , each time hooking up to trailers where the engines were stored.
The gang was in and out within six minutes in the truck, which was then abandoned in Coventry.
Detectives have now arrested four men aged 29, 40, 47 and 56 on suspicion of conspiracy to steal."
In one of the articles they stated they will conduct forensics on the engines to check for damage....before installing the wayward engine into your car.
It could just as easily be factory scheduling too, completely unrelated.
