i ordered a MY18 35t r-sport in early July. the dealer just contacted me over the weekend and said there are some delays with the V6 models, but didn't have any more information

just wondering if anyone else has run into this issue or knew anything about it

Default Methinks it could be....stolden engines?

It is certainly possible this theft of engines from the plant could have had something to do with it.....

Jaguar Land Rover heist: Police recover stolen engines in dawn raids in Sutton Coldfield - Birmingham Mail

http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/new...gines-12598050

"Engines believed to have been stolen from Jaguar Land Rover in a £3million heist have been found. West Midlands Police carried out two raids, one at Bermuda Industrial Park in Nuneaton and another in Minworth near Sutton Coldfield, this morning.
An investigation was launched after a gang struck shortly after 10.30pm on Tuesday, January 31, by brazenly driving through manned security gates in a stolen lorry.
The truck entered the Solihull site twice , each time hooking up to trailers where the engines were stored.
The gang was in and out within six minutes in the truck, which was then abandoned in Coventry.
Detectives have now arrested four men aged 29, 40, 47 and 56 on suspicion of conspiracy to steal."

In one of the articles they stated they will conduct forensics on the engines to check for damage....before installing the wayward engine into your car.

It could just as easily be factory scheduling too, completely unrelated.

If you look at the Jaguar website it seems like 2018 35ts are not available and they have been replaced by 30ts which is a 300 HP turbo charged 4. If I were you I'd change my order to an XE-S. The price is practically the same as the 35t R-Sport.

I also thought the same that the 35t v6 has been discontinued, moving the S up 40bhp to 380bhp and dropping in the new 296bhp 2.0T from the F-Type as the next one down instead.
