Default XE 35t 3.0 Serpentine Belt Replacement - RESOLVED

Hi all,

I'm looking for clarification on what's involved with replacing the serpentine belt in a 2017 XE with the 3.0 engine.

I found the thread for the F-type that pointed members to the pulley upgrade thread, but what's not totally clear to me is whether it's just a matter of rotating the tensioners or if additional hardware needs to be removed. This is primarily due to a few instances of folks across the web (including in a highly viewed YouTube video for the XF) stating a bracket needs to be removed in order to free the belt, though one person suggested you're able to maneuver the belt from behind this bracket.

Any insight? Thanks!

Closing the loop on this in case it helps someone in the future...

No, you do not need to remove the bracket as there's just enough clearance to maneuver it off the pulley and shimmy it down.
