Default Aux belt replacement.

Hi can someone please post the procedure for replacing the auxiliary belt. Its a job i want to do myself. Thanks.

This thread will show how to get at the belt from under the car. You will need to remove the SC belt first and then the accessory belt. The SC belt tensioner is on one side and the accessory or the other. A photo of the front of the engine is in the thread. You may need to remove the intake plumbing under the hood too though.

Thanks very much. Is the aux belt tensioner the same type as the supercharger one?

No there are two. one for the SC belt the other for the accessory belt. If you look closely at the engine photo in the thread you will see which one.

I would say it is the same "type" (they are both simple belt tensioners after all!) but it may not be the same part.

Same type. You unload the 2 tensioners the same way...with a 1/2 inch drive breaker bar.
