2015 XF, big power install video

Nice job Dennis!
Supercharger whine sounds great!
Is the supercharger sound louder than it was before you did the pulley upgrade?
Any idea what the performance gain is?
I have a 2018 XFS, and I can barely hear the supercharger at all.
You just made me seriously consider doing this as soon as warranty ends.
And kudos to your wife for helping - and for asking all those questions...

for the supercharger whine i put mina gallery air intakes ,,but when i put the pulley and tune i tested it with my friends 2016 M5, We both started in 3rd gear and i pulled the sh*#@$ out of him and i only have 450hp and 440 ft of torque ,but the he started to catch up but when i hit 4th game over ,on paper he should be faster but not that day

My F-Type has the same V6 SC engine and I have the same VAP tune and larger crank pulley, and I have the Mina Gallery lower intake and cone air filters.
Pretty much the same as Dennis's set-up with the only differences being a Eurotoys pulley not a VAP one but essentially identical and on the F-Type the air filters sit down low behind the front wheels not in the engine bay.
I started off with the VAP tune only (416 hp) a few years ago and that released a tiny bit of SC whine, from almost zero to just noticeable at low revs before it was completely drowned out by exhaust noise.
I then fitted the larger crank pulley and associated VAP tune and there was a big jump in SC whine but still not yuge. This is because the VAP "with crank pulley" tune changes how the SC bypass valve works, it closes that valve earlier and harder so increasing boost.
A few years later I added the Mina Gallery lower intake and that more than doubled the SC whine so that now it is quite noticeable at all revs and especially when giving it the beans. This is partly due to the cone filters but mainly the deletion of the stock intake baffles just after the filters and I think it works the same on the XF.
Another possible factor is I have disabled the Symposer by plugging the top tube so I no longer have that muddy sound it makes under load.

sorry i didn't explain it well, Ozxfr said it perfect ,the loader whine comes from the cones, i used some heat wrap from home depot ,it sticks well on the sides, you may not see it, but ill post a video how i went about it , i did not notice any power gain witch i expected, its well shielded from any heat

Ok then, that's a bunch of changes.
Maybe I'll just stop by Dennis' place one weekend with a box of donuts and a box of parts and see if he'll put it all together for me. He's a lil closer than Oz.
I'm used to the loud and clear supercharger whine in my 2004 XJR. I wish it sounded more like that, and less like... nothing.
Thanks both.

In the F-Type they are Eaton TVS (twin vortices system), R1900 in the V8 and R1320 in the V6, where the "number" is the SC air capacity in millilitres.
They were deliberately designed to be much quieter than the previous generations.
The mods Dennis has done will definitely wake things up!

hmmm donuts, i see you had a few Rotary's , i had a 1987 RX7 turbo 2 , i rebuilt the engine on that ,changed side seals pac mans rotary aviation apex seals ,a T3/T4 turbo and only weight 2600 pounds ,it was a beast
added 360 degree cameras , and intake /voltage /air fuel ratio/ gauges to monitor system
