2024 XF, Keyless Unlocking is CRAP, Suggestions
I bought a 2024 XF in San Diego around June 2024. The keyless locking/unlocking was always spotty at best and always frustrating. How in 2025 can any car manufacturer install a keyless system that doesn't work??? Finally contacted the dealer and took it in to fix. It came back worse, a lot worse. Originally, the trunk/boot would eventually open after a dozen tries. Not anymore. Nothing. Similarly with the rear door, originally it worked eventually but worse now. The dealer wants me to bring it in again so the mechanic can "take a look at it." They already took a look at it so I'm not interested in trying again. Anyone out there have the same problem? Anyone have a fix ... an actual fix instead of trusting the dealer? Thanks.
This is a known problem with the 2024, as I have visited the dealer twice on this issue, and there is a fault with the FOB’s. The new FOBs are not due until sometime in June. Goggle (24 my and up passive entry intermittent operation) for details.
Thanks for the reply. I took it to another dealer 2 weeks ago for routine service and they determined the FOB was the problem. Took them a week to find another FOB in the US. Seems there are none in the Jaguar system as I was told. Works much better now.
The problem for me is that the FOB would not work when it is in your pocket, as it should not be nescessary to push the button. Just pull the handle to open and press the button on the handle to lock. Does your new FOB work in this way?

It works the first try with the FOB in my pocket about 80% of the time now. For the 20% that it doesn't work the first time, I try several times or jingle the FOB in my pocket to move it around and I get it to work. Good luck.
We still are waiting on the updated keys.
Short of it is the keys were changed by the manufacturer (Lear) a while back, the ones that end in a certain part # suffix have a cheaper antenna in them than the old keys. This was a HUGE issue in the US, as the spectrum we use for UWB is too close to 5g, so areas of heavy cell service the remote detection drops to zero due to interference. We have updated keys coming but it's a process, going through testing, approval, etc. Should be next month sometime. My '24 Ipace the key detection sucks, my wife hates not having the handles pop out when you touch the button, having to dig the key out of her purse or gym bag. I'm waiting for the new keys to land and I will get her set swapped out under warranty as well. All my company cars have the issue, my Disco sport with the approach unlock was almost flawless around my usual areas, but in some particular locations it would not work at all.
