Sill plate trim clips
I am midway through installing a front and rear dash cam and I have to run the wire down under the sill tread plates. The limited YouTube videos on the subject just say to pull up on the plates, but doing this for the front ended up with 3 broken trim clips. Does anyone know the correct process to remove the plates before I attempt to remove the rear?
The replacement clips are also expensive direct from Jaguar! Now I know what they are, part T4N6066, they are less than $5 each at SNG or Amazon has packs that are hopefully ok.
Is there a particular tool to remove these clips?
Thanks
Andy

I have never seen one. On my XJ I have removed them the same as you. Just pull and pry the sill plate up and they pop out. I guess I was lucky as no broken clips yet.
Thanks for posting the clip part number as those are usually hard to run down.
Great thread title too as people searching for these clips will find your thread immediately! It's small things like this that make this forum so darn useful.
