Hi all, relatively new to the world of Jaguar, working my way through the list of faults on my XF 190 sport.

On Boxing Day it started leaving small trails of coolant after I'd parked up.

Loosened off the egr cooler/valve assembly today to gain access to and try and repair the leaking gasket at the bypass valve end. The one that isn't available separately.

As time and resources were at a premium I didn't remove the unit fully, just so I could get to the bolts to remove the flange.

I then had to re use the old gasket and use Hylomar blue around it.

I then torqued the bolts in an opposite pattern to 14nm.

The leak appeared to have been cured, but is now dripping off the EGR end of the cooler.

Is it common for the cooler to leak from this gasket or am I just chasing my tail and would be better off replacing the cooler?

If so does a tine have one for sale that's reasonably priced please?
