x type jaguar 2lt diesel diagnostic check show egr problem i took it of and replaced it but still shows on diagnostic tool

 

What code does it throw up ?

Has anyone had coolant loss INTO the egr unit. My coolant level is dropping without obvious leak. So this means egr or head gasket or similar. Is it possible to detect coolant leak in the exhaust gases ???

 

Just a general list
EGR cooler, turbo inter cooler. turbo if water cooled. engine oil cooler. Transmission oil cooler. Heater core.

 

Check your transmission oil level immediadly in case your trasmission oil cooler have been failed and coolant is entering to the transmission.
Also engine oil cooler sitting middle of engine can leak to the V where it vaporites without shoving the leak. Naturally you have check the engine oil cap for moist? Have you?
EGR coolers are possible, but not very common on AJD-V6.
There are one plastic part what somebody have been reported failing on middle front of the engine called: Engine Water Outlet.
On some engines this part last forever and some report it failing often. Now it seems that the original part last, but these mechanics who change this part during timing belt work, "because when in there" and use non-original part, may cause issues later by failure.

Also check under your front interior mats in case you have an heater leak.
Turbos or intercooler are not involved with coolant on AJD-V6
