The 2010/2011 XFR Workshop Manual might be of some help.
It is for the 5.0 S/C but I suspect the cylinder head removal and replacement procedure would be exactly the same on the NA version.

Can the heads be done in a 2010 5.0 with the engine in the vehicle?

or does it have to be dropped?

we are about to start on mine. But All data doesn’t really have any useful information regarding this.
