Hello everyone,

I just got a pre-owned 2012 Jaguar XF Portfolio here in the States and I've noticed that there are no lights under the dash/glovebox like my 2004 x-type.
I later look underneath and noticed there are light bulbs underneath.
All other lights seem to work fine.
Is this a defect in my vehicle? Do you all have footwell lights?

Yes, it has footwell lights. Need to have them checked out. Could just be burned out lamps. I just replaced mine with LEDs.

I went to the service center today and they told me the same. Could be a fuse, could be larger issue. Either way I'll have to drop it off and get a loaner car.

Before you take it in, try touching and holding the overhead courtesy light for around four seconds. Did this myself yesterday on my portfolio which I've just bought. Apologies if you've already tried this, but it worked for me.

 

Do the lights on the visor mirror work? Last year the foot well lights stop working, I fond the fuse and replaced it and it immediately popped. Took it to the dealer and there was a short in the driver side visor light. It was replaced under warranty thankfully.

 

Where did you find your LED light bulbs for the footwell lights. Does these lights come in colors? Thanks.
