Hello all,

New to the forums as I just recently purchased my 2012 XF Portfolio. The car has been great and I love it. However I've now encountered my first, issue as of yesterday when I start the car the air conditioning no longer comes on, I have to turn it on manually after I start the car.

I haven't had a chance to call the dealer yet but will be doing so shortly. I haven't changed any settings and was wondering if anyone else has encountered this and if there is a quick fix that I'm missing.

 

Hit the Auto button and it should always start with the ignition. If not there's a fault. The car remembers the last used setting when you switched off, or is supposed to.

 

Thanks. The auto button is one. The problem seems to only happen if there is an extended period of time between me turning off the ca and starting it again (over an hour). Not sure what is going on.

 

Should remember auto if that was selected when you switched off. However, if you manually adjust the fan speed the auto function is switched off. Any manual adjustment except for temperature setting switches off the auto function until you hit the auto button again.
