Default 2012 XFR - does anyone know how to remove these pins from the connector?

I'm trying to tap this connector in the overhead console for accessory power to drive my radar detector and dashcam, but I can't figure out how to get these pins out!

I'm hoping someone has done this and knows the secret...

No clue on this particular one, but I've disassembled other plugs like it before. From what I can see, you have a tab holding the white part in. Once you remove it, it may be much easier to separate.

Alternately, have you tried prying down on the back to free up the specific wire? You can do this by sneaking a thin screwdriver or something under the wire to push down the tab that holds the wire in.

On second thought - you probably have to do both. It looks like the white part is probably locking those tabs in. Try separating the white piece and then pushing the tabs down from the back.

BTW, for my valentine, I just ran the wires along the edge of the windshield down to the fusebox in the passenger kickpanel, then used a piggyback fuse connector. I only had to take off the panel around the fusebox, which was easy.

Default connector pins

hello n8ertot. I am trying to repair a connector on my S type that is similar to the one you showed to erobbins. I will try to attach a picture. The pigtail connects to the ADC module that is mounted to the aft end of the trunk wall.

I am having a time of it to find a connector pin that will fit this connector. Do you have any ideas as to where I could buy a pin or a complete sixteen cavity connector or any connector from which I could extract a pin?

I will try to attach pictures of my particular connector

Bob

I would just get another plug from a junked car and rob what you need.

Somebody posted this link in another thread and I bookmarked it for future reference:

https://www.bmotorsports.com/shop/index.php/cPath/109

You might browse through their catalog of electrical connectors and find something that will work.

Default interesting site

Thanks for the lead. I haven't found my particular pin yet but might just give some of them a try on spec.
