Default 2013 Jaguar XF 3.0 sport mode problem.

Last couple days while driving at highway speeds the transmission will switch to sport mode without me putting it into sport mode. Resulting in a quick spike in RPM's. I have to physically switch it to neutral back to "D". It's happened twice already, I want to get it into the shop ASAP, but I'm sure they'll say, "it's not doing it for me, there must not be anything wrong".

Has anyone ever experienced this? If so what was the outcome?

Change your settings to only have the paddles work when you are in sport mode. You are bumping a paddle when you are in drive.

Very easy to do without noticing even after years of ownership I still occasionally do this. You don't realize it.

This would be my guess too.

For the OP, instead of switching into "N". hold the right padel "+" until it switches back into "D".
