Default 2013 Jaguar XF Hazards Won't Shut Off

I drove for about 30 miles today before my Hazards came on, on there own, and wont go off. I shut the car off for about an hour and a half and then proceeded to have issues starting the vehicle. The brake pedal was very stiff and it didn't want to turn over. I finally pushed on the pedal as hard as possible and it started up. The lights still won't shut off though. I dont know what the issue could be.

Update: the lights have gone off and come back on and gone off again in the past couple hours. I dont know if it's relevant but the radio was super laggy when I first got in the vehicle before leaving. And now the horn sounds different when I lock the vehicle. Before the issues I would press lock once and you'd here it click locked, then a second push you would here a horn arming the alarm I assume. Now I press to lock only once and it honks right away. I hope these aren't issues or signs of a larger electrical issue within the vehicle.

Bizarre electronics behavior is usually an indicator of battery issues. That's right, a modern day car built and programmed without fault tolerance for low voltage. If the battery is more than 3 years old, replace it.

Is there a way to check or test whether or not that is the issue before purchasing a battery?

If you are still on the original battery it is well past needing replacement. Your symptoms are classic for a bad battery.
