2013 SF 3.0 AWD SC with high idle at startup then operates normally
I have a 2013 Jaguar XF 3.0 SC that started having an issue with the idle when first started (cold start). The issue is the idle fluctuates and then climbs up between 2000-3000RPM for a short duration then returns to normal idle (~750RPM) and operates normally after. This high idle condition does not always happen, but is frequent. When checking with OBD2 reader, I see the following trouble codes:
P2189 (too little fuel at idle, lean condition)
P2187 (too little fuel at idle, lean condition)
Below are some of the things I have checked:
Vacuum lines for leaks (found none)
MAF sensors (cleaned with CRC cleaner, didn't seem too dirty to begin with)
MAP sensor
Inspected the Throttle body (looks normal, not too much buildup)
Exhaust system (there may be a leak on the driver side exhaust pipe before the muffler at the joint, found water dripping at the location and black soot)
Added treatment to gas tank (didn't change the issue at all)
Has anyone experienced this issue, and is it something that can cause engine damage if not fixed now?
Thanks!
