Default 2014 XF Questions....

I have a few newbie questions on the XF. Does the XF have easy access for the steering column? With the column in auto on my 07 XK, once the ignition is turned off the column goes all the way up for easy exit or entry. I also don't see a speed sensitive setting for the volumn control. I can only guess that there is no such on the XF. I looked in the manual but don't see anything describing these.

My steering wheel moves up for easy exit and access; however the adjustment knob on the left side of the steering column must be set to AUTO for it to work. Can't imagine that the 2014s wouldn't have this feature. My 2009 had the speed-sensitive automatic audio volume control business but it didn't work and Jaguar said there was a software problem with it that they didn't fix. At some point Jaguar must have given up on the feature because my 2012 doesn't have it.

Thanks Jerry, I have it in AUTO but it doesn't do that. I didn't know if I needed to tell it to do that or not.

Do you have a memory preset for the seat, etc? Not sure if it will help but I'm guessing that if you don't have one set it won't know what position to return to.

Set the wheel where you want it, switch the knob to auto and then press the memory switch on the door and quickly select 1 or 2 (whichever one you used for your seat and mirror settings).

The steering wheel will only raise up for the easy exit feature. If you are setting the wheel at its highest setting for normal driving, it has nowhere to go upon exiting the vehicle.

I do have it in auto and I do have it set at a lower position than all the way up. I also have it set with the memory settings. But it doesn't do it. Thanks for all your help. I guess the '14 doesn't have this feature.

Owner of a new 2014 XF 3.0 AWD. Car has 1000 miles on it from new. At the 600 mi. mark the Engine/Transmission Check light came on. Car continued to run as normal. The dealer claims the code check indicated faulty oxygen sensor which they said they replaced. 400mi later the same fault light has returned. Car continues to run without change in performance. I can't believe there's another Oxygen sensor problem. Anyone seen a similar recurring problem?????
