Default 380hp V6 F-Type

Does anyone know what changes were done to the 3.0 to get the additional 40HP? And more importantly, if these changes can be applied to the 340HP v6 in our XF's?

Exact same engine, so it's likely just software. Jag doesn't offer an upgrade tune for the XF 3.0 but there are third party tuners who do. (ETG, Eurocharged, etc.). With the right software and pulley upgrade you're likely to exceed the performance numbers of the F-Type.

Correct, the boost in this engine is controlled by the Bosch engine management controls. See post #10 here:

The torque increase is very slight so these are marketing numbers. The real acceleration "advantage" the V6S has comes from the 10% shorter final drive, which includes a mechanical LSD and should fit our XF.

Wonder if it is compatible with the XF AWD and DSC software?
