500 GB Drive for Music

Dear All,
Does anyone know how to add a 500 GB USB drive to stream music to the entertainment system i the 2013 XF?

I believe others have gotten it to work. If your using a HDD, hen you'll probably need a splitter cable to power it through the DC outlet, as the USB port doesn't put out enough current. An SSD might work with just the USB cable.

I think the hard part would be navigating the file structure with the touchscreen with that many files. The XJ system does not appear to support playlists, not sure on the XF.
