I have another question for you guys. I'm looking at another car besides the one I mentioned in my last post. My question is: Was adaptive cruise control included in all XFR's in 2010 and 2011 or was it an option? I think it was in a package called the Driver Assistance Package or some such. The owner of one of the cars I'm looking at doesn't know if his car has it or not. He'd certainly never used it because I had to explain what it was.

My present car has adaptive cruise and I never want another car that doesn't have it.

Adaptive Cruise Control with Advanced Emergency Brake Assist was a stand-alone option in 2011 for the XF (Premium, Supercharged, & XFR) in the US and not part of any package. This was done intentionally because the majority of owners hated the feature and wanted no part of it. It is easy to tell if a car has this. Look at the steering wheel. If there are 3 buttons/rolling controls on the right hand spoke, it does not have it. If there are 4, it does. The left side always has 4.

 

That's not exactly accurate. It was standard on all 2010 XFRs, but then was made a stand alone option in 2011.
