Default Adaptive Dynamic Suspension

Hi Guys,

I just sold my M5 and making the move over to XF. I am looking at 2001 SC's and the question I had was is the Adaptive Dynamic Suspension and standard option on SC's?

If you are referring to a 2012 S/C, the Adaptive Dynamic Suspension is standard equipment on the North American S/C and R models. Don't know about other countries.

Thanks Jerry. So it's an "option" for 11's or did not exist till 12's?

The 'CATS' active dynamic suspension is standard on all the US spec supercharged XFs at least back to 2010. A 2009 owner will have to speak for that model year...

Was not available on any of the naturally aspirated US spec XFs to my knowledge.

Cheers,

- Will

Standard on the '11's. Why not another M5?

Thanks. Wifey can't drive manual so I had no choice. Not too man XF's see on the road and like the power underneath the hood.

M5 has an automatic now.

You should still buy the Jaguar.

CATS with dynamic mode was standard on all supercharged XF. The XFR got more advanced dynamics including the trick electronic LSD.

I just purchased a 2011 XF-R last Sunday and am loving it. Here is a great (and I mean absolutley GREAT) video from the BBC's Top Gear show comparing the XF-R to the M5. Enjoy the YouTube link.

Do you have a source of information for that? All the information I had read left me with the impression the XFR and XF SC share identical dynamic suspension...

Cheers,

my 11 xfsc has e-diff and DCS and Dynamic? The XFR vs SC is a body kit and interior kit.

Brakes are upgraded (although you wouldn't notice anywhere but hard driving on the track) and possibly the intake...

Sorry, forgot to add I was responding mainly to the query about 2009 models. The 4.2 supercharged got CATS. The later XFR got the dynamics and electronic diff. Later 5.0 supercharged have the XFR engine detuned a bit by lowering the boost. O'wise the 5.0 SC model is like an XFR but way cheaper. Some think it a better car because it is more civilized.
