Bad diesel leak - thoughts please?
Hi all,
New poster, long time reader.
Had my 2010 XF 3.0d Portfolio for 2 years and love it. A few issues over the 2 years but worth it to drive this beautiful cat.
Had the faulty fuel gauge recently and after reading up I cleaned the connector underneath rear seat (is this the fuel pump?) and hey presto back working. HOWEVER after putting back together I have a bad diesel leak. I'm not a mechanic but I think I've put it back together right. Anything obvious I might have missed OR damaged?
Thanks in advance.

Where's the leak coming from? Near the fuel tank?? Under the rear door?
The fuel pump seals/gasket on the XF is a pain to reposition right and can actually fall inside the fuel tank as you put it back together, that would be the first place I would check, can also get damaged but its only a £5 part from Jaguar dealer parts desk.

Now I'm going to sound really stupid but is the gasket the plastic ring? I've got a blue seal, a plastic ring on top of that then the metal ring. Am I missing something or is it that I haven't fitted the plastic ring right? Also there's a small black rubber hose. This should go into the tank right?
