Default Black Pack Grill Question

For those of you with XFR's with the Black Pack package, are all of your black grills glossy, or just the main grill? Getting my grill Plasti-dipped and wanted to know whether I should use Glossifier or not and whether to do the other grills as well.

I plasti dipped the main and lower grilles. It is just matte black as I was not happy with the back and glossifier. It is easy to do. Took about 1/2 hour to remove bumper and grille and a couple hours to paint. Most of the time is waiting for it to dry between coats.

What I did was just matte black for the trim and then the center of the grill I used the glossifier. So all the chrome mesh looks gloss black and the surround is is matte. I did all of my trim in matte though and from what I have read on this forum, many people aren't a fan. To each their own... I dig your's though Nate. Ever think about going black with the rims?

I had a shop do it and didn't like the result. So I called Chris at Mina and ordered a Black Pack grill with chrome surround. Got to me the next morning and had it installed yesterday. Only $345 including installation from a local body shop. Worth it to have the smooth gloss look I wanted and won't have to worry about peeling.

The sad part is that I really don't have anything else I want to do to the car now. Guess I can get a few projects done on the motorcycle and around the house now...

That's cool. I wasn't willing to spend that much on something I could do myself. I had a Cadillac previously that I painted everything myself so I figured I would try Plasti-Dip since it seemed even easier. It sounds like that shop did a **** job for you. I was at a car get together last weekend and guys were asking me how I got it so smooth as a few of them tried it and looked kind of rough. Maybe I should think about doing it for people on the side.

Unfortunately for me, the bike is getting close to be decommissioned for the winter...

Knowing I wouldn't be doing any further major upgrades and knowing it would be done in the manner I wanted made it easier to do so.

If I hadn't already spent 5 hours trying to get it done the first time I might have given them another chance, but wasn't going to do it again, just to have to buy the grill anyway.

If you can Plasti-dip well, I'm sure that you could earn some extra $$, especially if you have your car as an example.
