Default Control Arms Replacement - Questions

Hi Gents,

I am in need of replacing my upper and lower control arms on the 2012 XFR. Do anyone have any suggestions about an aftermarket kit or which vendor is the best? Would you buy a control arm kit or have the existing arms pressed with new bushings? Are XFR-S control arms an option?

Thank you.

Generally, if the part numbers are the same across the different trim levels, then the parts are going to fit.

New bushes can be pressed into the control arms, but the upper ball joints cannot be replaced separately requiring the upper control arms to be replaced if the ball joints are worn.

Do you generally buy the upper control arms and have the lower arm replaced with new bushings?

Yes, replace the upper control arms, which contain new ball joints and replace the bushes in the lower arms. The lower ball joints can be pressed in and out as well.
