Coolant level low
Hi all,
I’ve been having an intermittent red warning stating coolant level low. Mechanic looked at it and said coolant is definitely not low so it was likely the sensor.
He was to order a new coolant bottle for me and fit it but the day before the appointments rang and said he never ordered it as it was too expensive and cancelled my appointment.
I am now trying to source it myself. I have a 2010 Jaguar XF 3.0 diesel.
based on my reg, I’m being advised this is the correct part: https://www.mister-auto.ie/coolant-expansion-tank/nrf/454089/
does this look correct? Is it a big job to fit it? I won’t be doing it myself - I have no skills in that regard! Your advice is appreciated.
many thanks.

Easy job. Can diy or a competent mechanic can easily do it
It shouldn't be expensive. I've prob done mine twice over past 10 years as like other plastic parts they age over time. I don't know for sure what the right one is for your car. Go to a Jag specialist site and put in your vin to be sure
Think reservoir was a couple of hundred dollars when I last did it. And prob an hour of labor to replace it?

Here is the parts listing: https://www.sngbarratt.com/English/#...assembly/32713
Looks like the Jaguar part number is C2D36878. It's one bolt and a few hose clamps to change the tank, it's a simple job to do.
