Creaky Gas Pedal?
A few weeks ago, my gas pedal started creaking, and the motion is not as smooth. It's not terrible, but it's annoying. Has anyone experienced this? Is there anything I can check out/re-lubricate to remedy the situation?
I'll give that a try, thanks! I did try some WD-40 but that didn't help, though as I understand the silicone lubricant is far superior in these situations. I've looked at the assembly - do you know where the rubbing is happening? Is it where the lever goes into the housing? is it inside the housing? Just want to make sure I don't miss the offending area.
In the past I've found that when your put WD-40 on this kind of thing it works initially then the noise comes back even worse.
With a silicone spray it doesn't dry out the plastic items.
I sprayed the silicone spray all around the area, but you have to protect both pedal rubbers surfaces as you don't want it to go onto the underside of your shoes
Go luck fella
