Default Differential pressure X250 2.7d

Need the opinions of the hive mind please.

Since I eventually got this thing on the road, I get a P244a DPF differential pressure too low and P2455 DPF pressure sensor circuit a high. Car goes into restricted performance after 3 to 5 miles. Switch off and on, all good for another few miles then back on again.
Plugged in the Autel and had a look at the pressure across the sensor, there was nothing at all, reading zero.
I've checked the rubber hoses, no cracks or splits; same for the metal pipes.
I took the hoses off each end (sensor and dpf), blocked off each end, used a pressure gauge on each to see if there was any drop along the lines anywhere, nothing. So that tells me the rubber hoses and metal pipes are good.
Tested the sensor for electrical issues all the way back to the ECU, no apparent issues there either
I did a vac and pressure test (16kpa) on the sensor itself and it reads on the Autel. Too high and it'll throw it into restricted performance as expected.
Thinking it may be a faulty sensor I bought a new one......same issues as above.
I checked the DPF for soot content through the Autel, showing 13 gr/s, so not blocked up at all.
I also swapped the pipes over on the DPF end just in case I had got them the wrong way round, same issues as above.

So.......on the front pipe I tried a little test today.
Disconnected the front pipe off the sensor, I hooked up the vacuum/pressure gauge to the sensor, up to 16kpa, showing on the Autel. Secured the tool in the engine bay so it wouldn't come loose and went for a drive, monitoring along the way.
After 11 miles all was still good.
Prerssure was reading ok, no restricted performance, DPF temperature doing what it's supposed to.
It appeared to do a passive regen during the drive as well. Soot content remained at 13 gr/s.

I get the same issues whether I use the new sensor or the old sensor so I'm kind of flummoxed here as where to jump next.
Do I jerry rig the sensor and create a permanent vac and hope all remains hunkydory or have I got a new but dodgy sensor?

Thoughts please would be most welcome

So, problem found. Previous owner or a kind garage solution. They've gutted the DPF.
Decided to have the dpf off this morning to do a physical check on it, found this......
Endoscoped it and confirmed it is empty.
On to the ECU bloke, he will come and do a dpf software delete. Which will also make the oil dilution problems disappear as well. No regen - no extra fuel being injected - no oil dilution.
