Default Diffuser - Options!!!!

I really don't like the plain look of the diffuser on my 2012 XF portfolio. Just for a simple cosmetic mode,

spending way too much time and money to pull the existing one and putting a new diffuser ( close to $500 to $1000) is also worthless in IMHO.

Wanted to get your thoughts from you folks...... I am thinking of putting this with double sided 3M tapes to the existing diffuser ( rather than screwing it on so that I can take it off if needed.....will screw it on later if I like the looks). Also plast dip the whole diffuser along with this trim kit. I can even have Carbon fiber plasti dip

Rear Bumper Diffuser Molding Point Garnish Trim Matt Black for JAGUAR Car | eBay

Well, its not going to look that great but how bad it can get? ....Overall cost wise is very less and can be taken off if I dont like it..

What do you all think?I am ready with my full body armour suit ( just in case I need it here)

The xfr diffuser can be used, is a couple hundred, and already painted.

Easy DIY...

Those look terrible. Go with an oem or aftermarket diffusor for a little more money.

Its for looks. I get it...but it LOOKS horrible. I just got turned on to parts.com and will be ordering the middle section of the diffuser. comes already painted. much better option.

no. I contacted Mina a week ago asking the same question. At the moment they do not sell the diffuser. Have been trying to get them to send me a picture of the front splitter for the XF Sport with no luck. The picture they provide is pretty vauge. I want to see the entire splitter to see how it will attach. I already know they say it sticks on with 3M tape. I want to see the whole part. Wish they would send me a freaking photo.

Yeah, strange that Mina no longer sell the 2012 on XFR valance/diffuser kit, I bought one from them a few years ago and put it on my 2010 XFS. Maybe there is no longer much demand?

They do that with products from time to time. I picked up a carbon engine cover that they made only a few of and discontinued.

I kind of like the way it looks. But then again, I put on a carbon fiber front splitter on my XFS.

Mr. Sharky....did you install the Mina splitter? If so, do you happen to have any photos of the install or the part.

Here are the Mina front splitters in carbon, and the rear valance they had offered. (Ignore the sport badge, gone now. I wanted to put something on the back without posing but decided to take off)
The rear valance was a nightmare to install. It was fiberglass and simply had no flexibility so it took a lot of rigging. I eventually had to uses a gasket caulk to fill poor fit. Oddly it turned out pretty good. Even used aftermarket touch up spray paint to paint the lunar gray.
The front splitters (different for the R and S I believe but same install) are much easier but PLEASE!!!!!! add some stainless screws under it. I lost two on interstate driving. 3m tape is not strong enough at highway speeds.
Yes, I have extensivly modified my cat to my taste so, please, no negative comments. It's my hobby and I do try to keep it tasteful but my inner chav must have a chance! Lol. (Oh, and I LOVED it when Jaguar added the spoiler to the F-type. Very similar to my carbon aftermarket one! Before that, people said it was wrong! Now they say Wow! Looks like the F-type new spoiler! Lol)

That's exactly what I am scared of. The prospect of having my splitters dropping when going at freeway speeds is not something that I will put my self through. That is why I have been asking Mina to send me photos of their splitters not installed, but just on a table or something, so I can see how to best attach them. I am not purchasing them until I see them unattached. Do you happen to have any photos of the splitters?? I notice you de-chromed your Jag..looks nice. What did you use to wrap with? I have been looking for a place that does carbon fiber wrap, but have only found the vinyl stuff..

Philhef, please don't apologize for your mods! You never have and are bold enough to try things you will like, often blazing a new trail for other to follow if it's their desire.

I am not sure why I could not get the pics to load up automatically.
I just changed it and replaced it with ones that have the side winglets. I will post pics of those tomorrow.
