Hi all, I'm shopping some base XFs, and wanted to know if anyone had experience with the blind spot monitoring system, and whether or not it causes interference when using a radar detector. I'm not really interested in getting the BSM system, but several of the vehicles spec'd to my preferences happen to have the option. I am, however, highly dependent on my Valentine One =), so wanted to be sure there isn't a conflict.
Is it a non-issue, or can the BSM system be fully deactivated, or do I need to avoid vehicles spec'd with it? Thanks in advance for any advice.

I have not had blind spot detection in the past, and have it now and have come to like it quite a bit. I don't have a detector, so can't comment, but if it does not interfere, you may want to get a car with the feature.
Thank you everyone, that's great news. I'm not particularly enthused about the BSM- I'm old school, so side view mirrors work just fine- but I'm looking at inventory on the lots, rather than a new order, so exact specs are out of my control. Hopefully it won't become too annoying, but as long as it doesn't interfere with the V1, shouldn't be a problem. Thanks again!
