Default Driver's seat = ECU?

I have a 2011 Jaguar XF. If the ECU/ECM is not programmed for the vehicle yet, will the Driver's seat not adjust? I can get the passenger's seat to move and adjust. It is certainly a pain to get the module out when the power seat does not work. Just sayin'...

Thanks in advance.

I'm assuming you're referring to Driver Seat Module, then yes. It will need to be programmed before you can move it.

So, it sounds like I have went to a lot of trouble to take that module out for absolutely no reason. Ugh! I guess I'll have even more fun putting it back in now. I bought the Jag with a flood damaged title. I have to have the ECM programmed for a lot of the other stuff to work. The unlock button on the key fob put all the windows down, and they won't go back up now. I am assuming that is also an ECM thing?

All the windows down at once is called "global open" and it's done by holding down the unlock button on the fob for a few seconds.
So maybe the unlock button on the fob got stuck down?

The window should be within the door module software, not with the seat module.

Is the Driver Seat Module the only thing you've changed?

What else isn't working?
