Smile Dynamic mode - first time

After nearly two months of ownership I finally put it in Dynamic mode for the first time today. Needless to say, I WAS impressed. It is certainly an entire different vehicle in that mode. It turns into a raging beast. No wonder the front rotors are as large as they are. Need em! I just recently had the last speeding ticket fall of my record this month and it was not from driving my little ole Ranger. This XF can sure get me in trouble if I am not careful. I had no idea it had this kind of power. Pretty awesome I'll say.

I found out yesterday that the Jaguar Dealer here in Tulsa replaced the water pump in 2018 (previous owner) with various hoses etc. and in 2017 it had a new supercharger put in it. Everything runs and sounds great that I can tell. I did pull the small eco battery out of the trunk and just wired the connectors up out of the way. Tried charging it but I could only get it up to 8.5 volts after several hours and when I pulled the charging leads within minutes the voltage dropped to .85 on the volt meter. Jaguar/Land Rover want $280.00 for a replacement battery but I think I am just going to pass on that. I have not read nor heard anyone talk positively about the stop/start feature as yet.

I sure do enjoy driving a Jaguar. Nicest vehicle I have ever purchased.

It took me a month or so to get used to my XFR and it's immense power, re-mapped to over 600BHP.
My previous car was a Bentley GT, they have 4 wheel drive, so the Jag was a real hand full at first. Once I put a set of Michelin PS4S on it, it was like a different car, fantastic and quicker than the Bentley ever was.
Enjoy the ride, they truly are great cars.

I just looked up a Bentley GT. That is one nice ride. As for your XFR, I can't imagine what 600BHP would be like. I have never owned a vehicle that would spin the rear tires until now except my 14R but it's a bike. Upon purchasing this XF the dealer installed 4 new tires but I know they are inexpensive ones. I will run them down a bit before replacing but I do appreciate your feedback on what a difference a good quality tire will make for the driving experience. Something to look forward to. Thanks Les.
